Nuno Gaspar Oliveira
Coordinator

Holds a degree in Biology, Applied Ecology at FCUL, centering his research in biodiversity and ecosystems.

In 2005, he co-founded the first Portuguese start-up specializing in biodiversity and ecosystems, having worked with leading national companies in the agricultural and forestry sectors. Between 2010 and 2014, he cooperated with WWF and coordinated the sustainability area in Natural Resource Economics at the ISG Business and Economics School, where he was a lecturer. At the same time, he graduated in Geography and Territorial Planning at FCSH/NOVA and in Strategic Management at DEG/IST.

Currently, he is responsible for the Ecosystem Management area at Esporão SA and is Senior Advisor in Bioeconomy and Evaluation and Valuation of Ecosystem Services in other public and private institutions. He is a lecturer in Sustainability Management at IDEFE/ISEG, a guest researcher in European innovation and research projects H2020 and others, and Partner of NBI–Natural Business Intelligence and of start-up CIBIO/Biopolis.
